New lighting for the Royal Troon Golf Club Dining Room.

Working with a club committee, new lighting was proposed, designed, planned and installed. Options for lighting were presented in visuals and our approach explained and agreed.

The new lighting is a significant and appropriate improvement on the earlier lighting layouts. The new lighting provides brighter light to balance the strong contrast of daylight from the seaward windows, with new lighting for paintings from track spotlights and chandeliers for ambient lighting including light to the roof structure. Lighting scenes are recalled via a wall panel with dimmed light levels for evening events. Simple manual overrides allow for the chandeliers to be brightened or dimmed as desired.

The images show the room before and after the new lighting installation. Note that with new lighting the room and ceiling is brighter, the paintings are lit and the lights no longer block views to pictures.
